I bought it at guitar center and, they said that i can hook up my keyboard 2 it...HOW

what the hell is it...none of the adapters in the back of it fit anything i have (speakers, mic)

HELP!!!...

Im drunk so excuse this but: YOU BOUGHT THE DAMN THING WITHOUT LOOKING AT WHAT KIND OF INPUTS IT HAS, YOU DESEREVE TO HAVE THE DAMN THING NOT WORK.

sorry bout that, now are you trying to hook up a line level input or a midi input????

lol...i know i know...but i thoguht the people there...WERE SUPPOSED TO HELP ME...i told her everything...that i needed to hookup midi and she said this would work...

anywayz...im trying to do midi....plz help me!!!!...lol...thx

The Mia does not have MIDI in/out. You will need another device (soundcard/interface) for that. Typically, you would use the Mia to do the DSP & recording, and something else for the MIDI interface. Any L-CHEEP-0 sound card will do. The 1/4" & RCA in's/out's on the back are typically used to connect with a mixer. I suppose you could buy adapters to work with a 1/8" phono or other.

The fvckers that sold you this card should have made sure you had all of the necessary gear to get it working for your needs. Go back and kill them all ;) No, that would be wrong. Go back and ask to talk to someone who knows what the fvck they're talking about. At Guitar Center - good luck.

Yeah, Like M said, the mia doesn't have midi. you should keep it if you need to do some stuff with digtal audio as well but you will need to get something else for the midi. Im not real big on midi so I don't think I am in the position to recomend anything but im shure someone else around here will help.

Thanks but...

I dont want midi tho...

i want something where i can get the shit i saved on my sequencer on my keyboard...on 2 my computer...

can i do that with this...with adapters ????

i told her everything...that i needed to hookup midi

so you dont need to hook up midi????

anyway, what kind of outputs does your keyboard have, we cant help you if we dont know that.

c...i use my sequencer on my keyboard 2 make a beat...

then i transfor it through midi to my comp and it's only 1 sound...bad quality...

i wanna be able to take that shit i made wit my keyboard and get it into my computer the way i sequenced it...how do i do that...

and i just have midi in and midi out in the back of my keyboard...

If your computer has USB ports, look into a Midiman Midisport......its an interface that will let you get that Midi into the computer....

"...SHE said this would work...."

keep listening to women and see where that gets you....take her back her Mia...for what its gonna cost for the Mia and a Midisport combined, you could do better....

Hold up, Gidge....doesnt your computer have a soundcard or had a soundcard there before the Mia that has midi input?.....

yeah i do have a soundcard that plays midi but like i said i can't get the shit that i made with the sequencer on my comp wit midi...

this is important...if this won't work...what soundcard can i get that will work for me...

remember i dont want midi. i want something that will take what i have off my seqencer on my keybaord strait 2 my comp...with the same sounds...

i just have midi in and midi out in the back of my keyboard...

If this is the case (which I dont think it is) then you dont have any hope (I dont think, im not a midi expert so im not 100% shure, somebody correct me if I am wrong). You need a line output on your keyboard. Are you shure you dont have one, it would be what you would plug into an amp. If you have one (which you should) you simply plug it into the soundcard from there.

Thanks 2 cyan...

i figured out what i can do...i have a HEADPHONE out...

i can hook the trs cable from that 2 my mia echo...right ???

do i need any extra cables 2 do this ?

yes, aka, you can do that but there may be an even better way....first do us a favor and tell us what keyboard you have and/or name all of the little holes and openings they have on it....

it has an sustain...asinable jack or sumthing...

and if i tell u my keyboard u will laugh...

Geez....

This guy has very simple question and none of you can give him a good answer! (not dissin, just find that funny)
Anyways, eventhough I'm a newbie, couldn't you just get some sort of of connecter/converter that you can plug your midi into that turns the cords to digital and then plug that into the mia...
that sounded stupid, sorry...
