This is MC-VOV reppin the AtL. I started rapping two days ago for the heck of it.
Heres my setup, and the songs I made today.

pretty damn ghetto. ha ha. that shit is clippin like hell (distortion). you need to rig up the hairnet/coffee filter to be close to your mouth, not the mic. it will be alot more effective. since we talkin ghetto..........you could take a long piece of cardboard, cut about a 6 inch hole in one end, tape your ghetto filter over the hole, and tape the other end to the table or something. make the hole mouth height. set it up a few inches in front of your mouth and the pc mic at least 6 inches (probably more) from the ghetto filter. that should give you a non clippin ghetto vocal setup. :D you gotta watch your dynamics too though. try to rap at the same volume throughout the song/monstrosity......uh um.

i recorded some stuff with a pc mic a couple of times. there's a clip at the bottom of my soundclick page called "drive" that was recorded with a $2 pc mic. the drums were done in fruity loops. here's the link:

I've heard worse... ya pretty bad clippin'... for $40.00 I'll send ya a MXL V63M which you'll need a preamp w/ phamtom power to run... it'll sound a lot better tho.

Ill also need a decent sount card. My onboard doesn't have the high-end mic connection.
