here I go again. This time no rack gear, nothing. I recorded the peavey valveking 112 tube amp only. I used the distortion channel built in. I cranked the gain and volume and set the bass, mids, highs on the amp. I recorded the guitars on two tracks (two different performances). One panned hard right and the other hard left.

only one sm57 used.

This is my favorite of the ones you have posted, but I dont really know what I am talking about.

Not only do I think this one sounds the best by itself (because it sounds like a guitar going through an amp), I bet it will sit the best in a mix. It doesn't have all the mud that the others did, and so likely will blend better with a bass.

Alas, another guitar player has been lured into the world of a guitar, a cable, and a tube amp to replace his rack full of gear...

Ain't it grand?

im a very happy man :D

I just new to rerecord my song, add bass, and play drums on it.
I also lay down vocals (both clean, screaming, and barking vocals)

yeah this is the best sounding one yet! That valve king sounds pretty damn good. I can't beleive how cheap it is for a tube amp!
