I have probably read a thousand reviews on the Mesa Boogie rectifier amps and everybody loves em'. I ready to buy one just on reviews alone. Anyone know where I can get a catalog/pricing info, I live in Nebraska, and there isn't a Boogie dealer within 500 miles of here. I went to their website but all they sell there is parts and accessories.

Boogie still sells direct to customers who live more than a certain distance from an authorised dealer;I'm not sure but i believe that distance is 100 miles.I bought a Mark2B combo direct from the factory once when I was living outside of the U.S.Cheers!

I've been using a Triple Rectifier for about a year now and it's pretty damn good. I will say that I still use my Marshall JMP in the studio quite a bit, though. If you go to mesaboogie.com they have a lot of info. One thing I should add is that I bought the Mesa recto cab (4x12) with greenback Celestions but somehow my Marshall cab (4x12 also) with greenbacks sounds better with the Recto head. The Recto cab seems tighter and more focused, but it's a bit too harsh for me. The Recto cab is definitely made better but that may be why it doesn't sound as good...perhaps something about resonance is missing, and maybe the wood's more dense (or maybe I am).

OK, I just checked mesaboogie.com and it looks like they sell amps there, but I think you have to call for pricing. I KNOW they do phone orders, though.

Also, if you can at all afford it, get a set of EL 34's so you can swap between them and the stock 6L6's. There's a bias switch for doing just that and I've gotten so many great and different sounds when recording because of it.

Thanks, I did contact Mesa boogie but they will not sell direct to me, they insist I use a local dealer. But just since I posted this topic a dealer opened up here in town. It is just a matter of them keeping one in stock long enough for me to try it out. I have been looking on ebay to but there is something about dropping that kinda coin and not seeing or trying out what I am getting.

thanks everybody!

Yeah, I know what you mean. As Nikki7 will tell you, Mesa/Boogie is extremely cool about their 30 day return policy. When I was buying my Rectifier I called them about 3 or 4 times to ask them technical questions and they were always happy to talk about their amps. I eventually got a Mesa endorsement (after everyone in my band had already bought amps from them....shucks!!)
