Men are deep thinkers

I mowed the lawn today, and after doing so I sat down and had a cold beer. The day was really quite beautiful, and the drink facilitated some deep thinking. My wife walked by and asked me what I was doing, and I said, "Nothing." The reason I said "nothing" instead of saying "just thinking" is because she then would have asked, "About what?" At that point I would have had to explain that men are deep thinkers about various topics, which would lead to other questions.

Finally I pondered an age old question: Is giving birth more painful than getting kicked in the nuts? Women always maintain that giving birth is way more painful than a guy getting kicked in the nuts, but how could they know? Well, after another beer, and some more heavy deductive thinking, I have come up with an answer to that question. Getting kicked in the nuts is more painful than having a baby, and even though I obviously couldn't really know, here is the reason for my conclusion. A year or so after giving birth, a woman will often say, "It might be nice to have another child."

On the other hand, you never hear a guy say, "You know, I think I would like another kick in the nuts."
I rest my case. Time for another beer, and then maybe a nap.

You should light a pipe with the beer, and hit some serious depth...but your logic is sound about getting kicked in the nuts.

There's is definitely some truth to that nothing box thing. The other morning I reminded my wife as I was sitting finishing my last cup of coffee before heading off to work...." C'mon, man, it's like that box thing. Why is it that men can open one box at a time, while women have to drag out all of the boxes and open every single one? I'm just trying to finish this cup of coffee....".

She looks at me blankly for a second, and I shit you not says, "Thanks for reminding me, there is a box in the family room that I need for you to put in the car before you leave so I can drop it off at Goodwill today."

Tight lines and sunblock everybody, have a good Saturday. Off to kayak fish and crab. It' going to be a beautiful day. :thumbs up:

BTW: You do know about the 'Nothing Box", right?

very good. thanks for sharing.

so, what's the background of this? is it purposely comedic? it looks like one of those inspirational/educational seminars, but it's surprisingly funny. year filmed?

First you go to the landscaping store, then you buy some landscaping gravel, and then you cover up all that troublesome grass with gravel.... More time drinking beer, less time cutting grass. Win/win.
