memory options ??

I have a P4 2.8
I currently have 1 Gig of ram (2x512) pc2100 running in dual channel mode.
I have another spare 512 that I can add but lose the dual channel mode.

What is the best option 1 gig dual channel or 1.5 gig no dual channel ??

I run cubase sx with the grand and a few other plugins and am looking at buying either Halion or Kontakt once I have the dosh !!

Don't quote me on this, but I don't think it will matter either way.
Dual channel isn't that big of an improvement from non-dual (64-bit, right?).
And once you hit 1gig, i don't think an extra 512 will provide a noticeable improvement unless you;'re really working yyour machine.
