I acquired a Memory Moog Plus, an Oberheim OB-8, and an Ensoniq VFX-SD today in a package deal. The Memory Moog Plus is quite awesome. Revues I have read rate this thing very high. It seems to live up to its reputation. I bought it to re-sell it, but I'm getting hooked on it. The blue book lists it at $1300 retail. Anyone have an idea of what any of these synths may be worth?

And I really had to wade through major shit to get this post to submit.

You will wake up when I count to three, one...two...three. Thanks Kelly, sorry to have to revert to hypnosis like that. Thanks for the help. I believe I had that website on one of my past hard drives and forgot all about it when the inevitable happened. I hate when that happens. Thanks again. And thanks to our esteemed webmeister.

I can't give you any numbers regarding their value. But I am kind of curious---how could you acquire them without having some idea what they're worth? (Unless "acquire" does not mean "buy".)

The Memory Moog is definately a cool instrument. I have a Minimoog and a Moog Source (the Source is not working, actually). At the time, the Memory Moog was kind of made out to be a polyphonic Minimoog. But I'm not sure it has quite the same sound. I wouldn't be surprised to see it in the $1000 - $1200 range, but I'm not really sure. I don't think there are many of them around anymore.

How could I acquire them? I bought them. Actually I looked at the bluebook for the Moog, and realized the other two would be free after I sold it. Now I don't think I want too. The Memory Moog Plus is the most awesome analog synth I have owned. I have an Opus 3, and I've checked out some other Moog models, and they don't come close to this thing. It has 100 memory settings. A sequencer and MIDI. Tons of jacks on the back for connecting things I haven't heard of. A cooling fan. Instant access to every control parameter. It looks beautiful. It came with a genuine Anvil case, manual, and two foot controls. And there's not a mark on it. Looks mint. And after hearing it, I see (or hear) what the fuss is about. I wouldn't be surprised if it sold for $2000 on Ebay after seeing what some of the other models are selling for. But like I said, maybe I'll just have to keep it. I don't think it will go down in value. I'll save it until I'm an old man, like Dragon, and sell it for a million dollars.
