I'm looking at buying either the MBOX, M-AUDIO MOBILPRE, or the LEXICON OMEGA. I primarily record acoustic guitar and vocals. Vocal clarity is my primary concern. The OMEGA looks amazing, but I have to be honest in saying that the low price for all of those features scares me little.

Any suggestions?

mbox comes with Pro Tools software...do you already have a program to record everything??? If not...it's worth looking into. Especially if you only need two inputs to record to.

id say definetly go with the mbox, its very good, has high qaulity mic preamps... comes with pro tools its good shit

And the Omega?

Thanks for the advice on getting the mbox. I'm still pretty intrigued by the Omega because of all it's inputs, and it does come with ProTracks. Is this program comparable to ProTools?

well, the omega only has a few more inputs than the mbox. and has the same number of XLRs. however, if those few extras are what you want, then go for it i guess. I've never used ProTracks...but I feel like you'll get more editing options with Pro Tools. And the mic pres on the Mbox are pretty nice (Focusrite pres).
