Re: If Sonusman's friends refer to him as 'King Prick',

A Reel Person said:
Ok, I've seen the light.

Ok, Sonusman, your friends think you're a prick, and we all should expect you to act like a prick, no questions asked.

Well good. And you are close but.....

......Sonusman thinks Sonusman is a prick. Read the Mastering Offer thread on the Mixing / Mastering board....;)

Actually he's a pretty nice guy...If you don't piss him off...and you don't think you'll get pro results with a DAW..........or with a plugin.....:D

You know, I've been keeping up on the Sonusman issue. I believe I stated in my post here that this is home recording not pro recording. If sonusman is the pro you all seem to think he is, why is he spending so much time here instead of in a studio engineering like a pro would be doing. I guess even pro's have some spare time to set around and chat with HOME RECODRING dummies as we must all be to him. The key word here is HOME not PRO. People who are just getting into recording don't need a bunch of bs to help them, they just need answers to there questions. I have to admit that some of the questions I've seen asked in many different rooms have been kinda off the wall, maybe even dumb, but hey, maybe the person truely didn't know he/she was asking a dumb or stupid question. I have to agree with reel person, lighten up. If you want to be a shit head, be a shit head to someone who is paying hard cash to be one, not someone who is on a bbs looking for help.

Peace brothers Peace

OK but....

"The key word here is HOME not PRO. "

If the pros didn't hang around there wouldn't be much to learn now...would there??

I think people make too much of what I think is a small issue...

Yeah...maybe he could be more sensitive. I just accept him (and the other "pros") for what he is and move on...

If you wanna really be reamed go to recording.org

There are tons of Eds' over there...LOL!!;)

lighten up, let it slide and learn a little....

I agree with Boardman,...

This is HOMErecording.com. Let's not forget that.

PROrec.com is over there. --------->

IMHO, big f'n attitudes don't help either board.

OK...then we agree to disagree...

...and that's cool.

Attitude or not we need the "pros" here and not just "there".

Keeps things in balance. Why the sensitivity?...look past it. I post on Recording.org (not Prorec.com) and there are a few serious attitudes over there.....But....

Bottom line is I post on both to learn the most I can. I have at least quadrupled my knowledge in the last year by doing so...

...if you can't handle the big dogs either turn away or don't enter the fence....(just ignore his posts if you choose)

Not a slam on you...just my HO....

peace...and out...

Look, I'm not perfect, and I've snapped off at some people occasionally, too. I try not to do it, though, and I don't think it improves this board. Look, I know, it happens, and it's not the end of the world. Even I have posted one or two notes that said, "Well, yeah,... duh!", [paraphrasing], so I'm not perfect.

I just think people should be nice to each other, on a bbs. No doubt, certain posts are good, certain advice is good, and I've learned things on this board, too.

I don't think that superior, holier than thou attitudes are a good thing to be throwing around on a home recording bbs like this, no matter how big of a pro you are, or think you are.

Sonusman may have been technically correct, that their's no push-button or formulaic method to get that 'pro' sound, but the way he blasted the Newbie was not cool, despite the Newbie practically asking for it.

Give him a friggin' break, Sonusman, he's a Newbie with a legitimate Newbie question! He's got a long way to go, before he's a big-ass pro, with a big-ass attitude, like you.

I've had it with this thread. Experienced members should try to be nice to Newbies. Talk amongst yourselves now.
