wAS WONDERING IF ANYBODY USES THAT COMBO??RESULTS GOOD OR BAD??

if you already have the duo, make sure you get SP1 if you have wikndows xp.

otherwise, it works fine with sonar. i had problems with playback stutters and noise bursts, but it had nothing to do with sonar.

sp1??Not quite sure what that is-I'm a newbie to computer recording. Thanks

if you don't already own the m-audio duo, take a look at the tascam 122.

i'm not endorsing the 122, but i have the tascam us428 and it works just fine. its the same usb capabilities but they added phantom power and chucked the mixing deck.

I'm getting some great sound from my Duo. I've had it for about 3mths running XP and have recorded everything from multiple types of guitars, drums, bongos to violins and have yet to complain about anything. Only thing is it can be a little pricey.

man, i'm glad to hear someone got the Duo to work properly using windows xp. i liked the pre's on the duo, but i either got a lemon, or they've updated their drivers. i got noise bursts (like turning an old radio between stations) from out of knowhere during recording, and dropouts during playback. i always suspected that it was the drivers, but i didn't have the time or patience to wait for M-audio to decide to fix their broken code.
