I read about it, and I know i wasn't dreaming. Wherever i read it said that MXL was coming out with an offer where you could buy a matched pair of 603s' with shockmounts in a flightcase. So whats teh deal, is it out? Where can i get them? I LOVE my single 603s and i want a matched pair for drums and acoustic guitar.

I'll bet if you call them and send your mic in, they'll match it, and send out the pair for not too much money.

ooo, great idea. thanks a lot. those things sound great.

I bought the pair from 8th st. Though it's a good price, they were definitely not "matched".

Twist

Oh wow. That's tasty. I might just have to spring for it since I've been waiting to pick up a pair...

Hey! Harvey is quoted on the page:

"This is a flat-out winner, folks. Almost identical to the MC012 in sound, with a wide cardioid pattern, almost approaching omni. We used the as drum overhead mics, and they do a great job…They were also a perfect match to the Oktava MC012 - they sounded nearly identical." -Harvey Gerst

And he's ours! ALL OURS!!!

Yeah, avant seems cool, but just slightly more pricey than other places. I want that pair.

I just picked up the set for $176 with shipping from Full Compass (Joel, 822-356-5844 x1116).

I went and looked at their catalogue after reading this and couldn't find hide nor hair of the 603S FMSP kit. Which page is it on? And do they export?

I had to call into Joel because I didn't see them either, but he usually quotes me the best prices so I gave it a go. They don't keep them in stock, so you have to wait for a few extra days, but hey, it's all about saving money.

I'm not sure about them exporting, you'd have to talk to them.

Dunno yet. I have to save some spondooliks first before I make any enquiries.
