Have ta tell ya so far this unit is T & A. Doing some MIDI (Roland 575 Dig Pi) with my wife's beautiful vocals thru CAD E350 thru
ART Tube Channel and
Focusrite Voicemaster direct to ADAT, bounce to ADAT edit and back, a pinch of Lexicon verb a dolup of
DBX DDP a little pression ,limiting, EQ (attenuate!!)etc. etc. Then on to the ML. Love the ease of use, the variety of word lengths, sample rate and redbook or Alesis' CD24. Track gain and Paramet EQ works great as does limiter, compressor and normalizer. Really like the track cropping feature - easy to scrubb. Track fadr in/out options nice too ( ie. linear, logarithmic or inverse logarithmic) Very user friendly, easy to use and sounds fabulous. Of course I have had good experiences with Alesis and their products ( but then again I have too with
my Mackie 1604 VLZ that e-body seems to love to hate! Granted it's not a Soundcraft Ghost or even an LX7, which I really like, but it rambles real good - anyway I might want to go Dig anyhow ( Tascam, Yamaha or Ramsa??), but all this is for the " let's pound the Mackie" forum SORRY for rambling myself. C I'm a mid aged old fart NOVICE goin' thru my changes chasing a passion for some tunes so forgive me. REALLY like the MASTERLINK for the FINAL tweeks we need, to think we can compete with the big guns! Gotta have that dream. c ya.
