Masterlink recording Speed

Hi,

I have bought some fancy brand new TDK pro CD's which are supposed to be extremly good & reliable as Master CD's.

It appears however that they are not compatible with high speed recorders and that you may get clicks if you record in 2x 4x 8x speed.

I wonder what the recording speed for the masterlink is and if you can force the unit to burn slowly (1x speed)

any ideas ? any similar experiences with other CDR's ?

Anyways - the Masterlink burns at 4x and the speed can't be changed.........

It was a joke, due to the 's' you put at the end... (which could imply a plural form - meaning there are more than one George....) Takes the fun out of it when I have to explain it -- no worries - just a silly joke is all..........!

Somehow - at 5:00am - your assumption that I'm American strikes me as really funny....!

He ain't MY chief, that's for damn sure! We got our own political problems in Canada without having to worry about the American Government too! ;)
 
Aha ! Thanks for the clarification.

The sky is blue the grass is green I'm schizophrenic and so am I...

About the chief Indian. He may not be yours and is not mine for sure but somehow I think he blieves he is.

Anyway, from reading other posts here by other peaceniks and adults, there seems to be no reason for using "special purpose" discs. The Masterlink is supposed to make a groovy master no matter the disc. 4X is max on this machine as stated before.
