mastering?

Hey there! -new to this - how do I record from my 4 track to a cassette deck and retain the same stereo field as the 4 track? Would appreciate if someone could point me in the right direction. Thank You

If your 4-track has a built in mixer, then pan the tracks where you want them and record out of the stereo outputs into your cassette.

If it doesn't have a built in mixer, then there is no built in panning and you have no stereo field. You need to run each track into a channel of an external mixer and pan them the way you want, then from there into the cassette deck.
