Like any software tool, spend enough time with t-racks 24 and you will learn to get the sounds you want. I think the algorithms they use are pretty good for the price range, and I've had very good results with it.

Of course, I think the interface is gak. I sent those guys a 2-page list of things that they should look at, did not receive a reply though. Maybe I pissed them off. :)

you guys are going to hate me but hey tvaillan i have the answer. its awsome far better then any above plug in in which i own them all including the c4 get a behringer thats right behringer 9024 multibanp compresser limiter exciter its 179. hardwear unit that has a ton of presets to learn from and best of all you can solo the bands like the c4 but be able to pass it through commerical cds uneffective to learn band levels and shere volume for mastering by far the best investment i made for mastering and i bought it back in the day when it was 500 and id gladly do it again! just goto muscians friend and type 9024 and have a look :) http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7...0081965184/search/g=home/detail/base_id/43290

Thats where he went wrong, he accidentally got the Ted Nugent plugs for $9.99 and typed it all in under 3 seconds.

SoMm

IT's all very well and good But can you HEAR IT!

Hey all,
Yes this thread is getting old, however I think mastering is a subject that often goes too underated,
Zip,
Yeah man I totaly agree with you, T-racks is nothing compared to things like the Waves plugins etc... but all i'm saying is that except for a small bunch of people The average computer nerd with some pirated music software that thinks he is a producer I believe cannot tell the difference, albiet alot of people in the industry talk crap and take sides with different types of software for this and that reason,
Mixing and Mastering are arts that only gifted people with excellent ears 'master',
I think T-racks is great for those who are starting out and can't hear the difference.. it gives you a basis for comparison, besides mastering isn't as simple as boosting and cutting frequency and compressing the track...
Great producers can bring a track alive with any software..

Um no. Great producers are not mastering engineers. And there is a big difference in mastering software. From say "t-racks" to say "Timeworks". I've used both and I'm not a mastering engineer and I could tell the difference.

Scott...
