Good thread reference. The engineeer was very thourough. But I can't believe you guys are sooooo hung up on the MOP sound. Give it a rest. Metal is DEAD.

Yeah I know, it was a reference to a previous long, long post. Just makin trouble. As a matter of fact I downloaded the engineer's information about a year ago?? I gave it to a friend who is a huge MOP fan. I also used some of the info to dial in some great tones using my Mark iii. In the days (pre-automation) that level of detail was the standard. Still is in a lot of sessions, as good record keeping is extremely valuable to the engineer and mix engineer and mastering engineer. What really blows me away was that the engineer (name I can't remember right now) was so forthcoming. Maybe he just got tired of the speculation. That degree of willingness to share is the sign of a true confident professional. Good lesson for all. Thanks for not flaming me, I was just having a bit of fun.
