Blick-um, blick-um...
Hey crew- I have a Mesa Boogie Mark IV combo. I'm trying different cabinet combinations and I'm confused about the ohms. The amp has 3 jacks to plug in speakers; one @ 8ohms and two @ 4ohms.

Please help me figure this out:

1) both the 1x12 and 2x12 (both @ 8 ohms) into the 4 ohms jacks -- I was curious, should I run the 2x12 in series or parallel?!?)

2) I also have a 2x10 rated @ 16 ohms. Is it possible to hook up all three cabs? How about just the 2x10 and 2x12? Should I convert that 2x10 cab to 8 ohms?

Thanks, Rez

Hope this is helpful... (from page 17 of http://www.mesaboogie.com/manuals/Mark 4.pdf):

"Two 4-ohm jacks are provided and should be used when you wish to run two 8-ohm speakers or cabinets"

So in short, I would rewire the 2x10 to 8-ohms and use that and the 2x12 together. Should sound awesome :)
