Great tune! Nice job. Would like to hear the result from a quality studio.

Now my thoughts.
Drums (of course!): Need to come up quite abit. Snare needs "crack" and "snap". I could almost here a piccolo(snare) or the like in this song. Like the change of pace with the triplets on the ride. But, the EQ was cutting off all the tonal qualitys of the cymbal. All low/low-mid...no high end. Defenitly want to bring that in (HH's too).

Guitar volume needs to back off. I would then try to "thicken" it up. Not with EQ but with a good chorus 'verb or 'verb. Fill the whole stereo field with this back ground layer.

Vocals need to be more 'up front' but at the same time put back in the mix. They were too loud, but needed more clarity and depth. Again, maybe a good reverb.

sounds pretty good to me...I like the vocals...both sound and performance.....I find the guitar a little bit muddy sounding.and the bass is lost in the mix......good rockin' tune.....I like the "Wait for it!" pretty cool...............the drums seem to lose the flow immediately after that until the retard................I'm sure you already know the end needs to cut off sharper............a very catchy tune.

powderfinger:...cool im glad you dug this wishin i was blink 182..thing....i redid the drums from scratch..i dont know if they are wider ..but i brought the levels down when i tracked then increased the volume afterwards...?....and yes they are all on one track......damnit....lol

jcmm:....excellent ...yeah i try to be funny sometimes it actually works....um the drums are yamaha dtsexpress elec kit..prety limiting but i thought it would be a hellavulla lot easier than trying to record my acoustic set....glad you liked it..

Hope I didn't give you the wrong impression - the drums sound good. I was just saying that the cymbals are too loud compared to the "actual drums" - i.e. kick, snare, toms. :)

It does sound better....and I'm glad you got rid of that ride cymbal thing.....guitar sounds clearer (the rhythm I mean).......and the bass is better too. Good job man..............;)

Okay, took the second listen ... big improvement on the drums -- imhop -- :)

I also heard a little bit of distortion on the main vocal, but for me it kind of worked and added to the sound ... I had this thing cranked (and in lo-fi that is pretty difficult to do) -- definitely has a Blink 182 vibe (and though I don't care for Blink myself, I mean this in the best possible way) ...

Nice job and definitely improved! :)

Lol, sorry jamal, not much time to listen right now, busy making changes to keep NWR running, and 'move to the next level'.

I am listening to the beta radio broadcast pretty much 24/7, so I am hearing the tunes, just no time to find out who did 'em and write appropriate reviews etc.. When things slow down, I'll be back to doing the odd review. May be a while though!

I D/L this a little bit ago,...sounded better than the "new matchbox20" song i listened to this morning fer sure. Just listening on the pc tonight, but i'll crank it on my system tomorrow and give it another run. Good song..
