Gorty and Dogman - UPDATE!

Got off the phone a little while ago after talking to one of the big cheese's at Musicians Friend. I sent a very pissed off email to the management, and got no response. I sent another even more pissed off email this morning and got a personal phone call from one of the honchos. Here's the clusterfuck: my original order, which was a blem item, didn't exist in their warehouse any more, and they couldn't get another in the color I requested from the factory because that particular kit is discontinued. Hence, the backorder notice. The "scratch and dent" stuff sells faster than their warehouse updates the stock availibility. The available blem kits left were a "caramel fade" and "tobacco fade". No fucking thanks. So, before I could even say "cancel the order and go fuck yourself", he started dealing. He asked if there was another kit I had in mind and he'd see what he could do with the price for my troubles. Expecting this, I already had my second choice picked out. Actually, this second choice was my original first choice before I caught the blem deal. Anyway, I told him the part number and color, and he said he had 2 in-stock for sure and it's ready to go. The price difference between my original blem order and this brand new kit was 500 dollars. Without even having to haggle, he offered me the brand spanking new kit for the original blem price and assured me it would ship monday or tuesday at the latest. I was expecting to have to meet him halfway between the prices, so I gladly accepted the deal. So, I'm getting a brand new kit for the discounted price of the blem. It's been a headache, but I'm satisfied....so far. We'll see when/if they ever get here. :o

Damn!!!! If you get it, that's a freaking sweet deal man....you saved enough money to buy the house behind me now...:D
 
Just got a ship confirmation email.......the drums have left the building! :)
