Making my own xlr cable/Soldering xlr

Hey guys,

I just bought a new wall plate and it has two xlr connectors on it. I want to solder a mic cable on to it. Is it as easy as just connecting the 1 to the 1, the 2 to the 2 and so on...? Anyone have any advice so i dont royally screw this up?

Seems like you have it right . Just use a meter and check it as you go .
