I was recently reading an interview with the guitar player from tool and he said they recorded with a pipe bomb, which was basically a tube of metal with capped off ends and a "hot-wired" guitar pickup inside. He said it makes it sound like is coming out of an old radio. I was just wondering how to wire this up and what he means by a "hot-wired" pickup, does he just me a pickup with lots of output?
