Hello,
I have been working on a project in Cubase SX (version 10561) for some time now and have encountered a problem. I'm fairly new to SX and this may be an easy fix.

Basically, I have audio tracks that do not "show up" in the master channel/output.

I have two stereo outs from my sound card (a M-Audio Quattro) and I have tried assinging both of the as the master output. The audio just won't show up(the meters don't move!). ? Doesn't everything have to go out of the master output? ?

Also, I do not get any ouput from the first two outputs (Bus1).

This problem only seems to occur in this project. I have messed around with the same situation in a new project and this doesn't happen.

Any ideas? Or did I basically just lose my project?

Ok i'm not entirely sure what your problem is here but i hope the following will help.

In the outputs section (selected from the devices menu) you should see all available outputs from your sound card. The master bus (bus 1) is situated on the far left and this meter displays exactly the same as the master fader on the mixer page (also located on the devices menu) . Also on the mixer page are the seperate channels for the audio, if you can see the audio through these meters when the small orange monitor buts are not lit then check the audio channels output shown directly below each meter. Is this set to bus 1? If so then when you solo these "problem audio tracks" you should be hearing and seeing the output through the master bus on the outputs page and the master fader on the mixer page.

Failing the above, do you have any send effects on the audio channels?? Have you checked that these are routed correctly??

Hope this helps

Send Effects

I think that my problem was in the routing of my send effects. After some troubleshooting I finally figured out it was an effect that I was using on the guitar and after I removed it the problem was solved.

Thanks for the help!
