Hello all... I just recently purchase a used Mackie 24x8 board. In reading the on-line manual (I don't have the board yet), it states that there are 24 sub-group outs (three for each subgroup) using +4 db balanced outputs. The individual channel direct outs are +4 db UNbalanced outputs. I am wanting to hook the board up with 1 channel per track (as I ofter record more than 8 channels at a time)... however I am using elco connectors to my ADATs... am I asking for trouble hooking the +4 balanced ADAT inputs into the +4 UNbalanced direct outs? Will I add more noise to the track?
