mackie 1202 preamps

Hi All,

I have a Mackie 1202 VLZ Pro...4 preamps with an xlr and trs connection on each channel..would it be safe to plug in 2 mics on each channel sharing the same preamp? (xlr, and trs?) then i could record the two drum overheads on on track and piano on another...

Me thinks the 1/4" are line level.

They are, but I use my radio shack mics in there right now...i am just wondering whether it would be safe to plug mics in the xlr and trs inputs at the same time...
