mac and audiophile 2496

I have an audiophile 2496 which worked fine in my pc but I have transeferred it to a powermac g4 running osx 1.3 and the mac doesn't seem to like it, i have heaps of kernal panics and stuff so I took it out again. does anyone else use this card with a mac and have any advice?

You installed all the latest drivers right? If you did, try placing it in another PCI slot.
