Hi folks.
I have just installed a new recording software on the latest Mac Book Pro. My problem is that the new computer does not come with the previous firewire ports. Does anyone know of a solution to connect the 2626 to the latest Mac? Thanks

I dont think they have a driver for os x 10.11 el capitan yet...so u prob need to get yosemite 10.10 and then get a thunderbolt to fw800 adapter and then a fw800 to fw400 cable. Hopefully that will work but at a cost. Drivers are a pain in the butt...

Yeah, to connect firewire to later MBPs (I have one myself), I just had to buy a Thunderbolt to Firewire 800 converter (FROM APPLE, apparently the other companies don't always work for audio interfaces), then use an 800 to 400 for some interfaces. My current one is 800 to 800, but it worked with an old 800 to 400.

But like mofat mentioned, probably should make sure that you drop down to 10.10 if the drivers aren't on El Capitan yet.
