M Audio MIDI with MBox on Pro Tools

I just got a m audio keystation from a friend to borrow for a while. Can somebody please help me or direct me on how to set it up with pro tools?

Current setup is MBox 2 mini, pro tools 7.4LE.

About as much as I know, I think I need another piece of software that is strictly for the keyboard that needs to be "rewired" to pro tools and directed to a "midi track." Yes/no?

I'm pretty tech savvy, but this is annoying me.

plug it in...turn it on...start pro tools...create an instrument track...put on a software synth plugin...press a note on the keyboard.

So you have made all the midi connections?

1) Midi OUT of keyboard into Midi IN of Mbox
2) Midi OUT of Mbox into Midi IN of keyboard

Then you need to create a MIDI track but you'll need software of some type otherwise all you have is a midi channel with no sound.

I use Reason 3 and Sampletank, but there are others.

If you've gotten this far, then its just a simple routing issue that can be diagnosed here provided you give a little more detail.
