M-Audio Firewire Solo help,

Hi all,

I need some help with my newly installed Firewire Solo.

I have everything plugged in correctly and when i plug headphones into the front i can hear the mic and guitar input clearly but when the audio goes to the computer through the firewire connector it appears distorted and slow. I noticed that my firewire driver is using the same IRQ as the Graphics Card could this make such a big difference in speed?

The FW box can't pass the ASIO test in CuBase either.

P.S. just thought i get the same through Windows Media Player and iTunes when played through the FW box.
 
You have a Windows machine. The good news - it will work right eventually. The bad news - you have to put the right voodoo onto it before it will work right. You might want to go to church towmorrow. Maybe they can help.

I have sorted the speed problem now there is no delay between playing and recording and playback is at normal speed but i still have the distortion. Someone mentioned to me that it could be a ground loop or mains hum anyone any ideas on that?
