I'm having a few issues with my firewire 1814. Well, they aren't really issues so much as me not knowing how to do certain things.

1. Headphones not working - I have a set of headphones (some crappy wireless sony ones) that I have plugged into the front HEADPHONE jack #1 on my firewire 1814 interface (i'm also using a 1/8" to 1/4" converter thinging). In my M-Audio interface software there is clearly signal reaching the headphones, however when i listen in on the headphones there is no sound. I have tried other headphones and I have the exact same problem.

2. Using record player with firewire 1814 - My dad handed down his lovely technics record player and I would like to use it with my firewire 1814 and route the audio to my monitors, which I have plugged into the 1 and 2 balanced outputs on the back of the interface. The record player has red and white cables (RCA?), which I've plugged into the red and white input cables coming out of the S/PDIF/ MIDI /Word clock connecter on the back of the interface. From this point I have not a clue how to route the signal to my monitors.

I've consulted the m-audio manual and knowledge base with no help at all. I hope someone can give me some insight to my issues.

Thanks alot,

Joe
