Anyone out there using the ux2 and if so can you give me your opinions and how it might compare to the fast track pro

I use the UX8 which is the 8 channel version...it is a modeling preamp/interface...the clean channel has 70db of clean gain...and it models 5 colored preamps that will usually run you over $1000 a channel...API 512...Neve 1073...Avalon 737...RCA tube....etc.

Plus it models over 40 Guitar amps and 12 bass amps and 50 effects boxes with its software too...using the two instrument direct ins.

I understand the M-Audio stuff only does clean gain.

cheers mate so your ux8 is of the same quality as the ux2 but with eight channels am i right? and when you say the maudio only does clean gain what does that mean sorry for the newbie questions but i just want to make the right choice rather than being disappointed and wishing id have bought the other one

I mean the m-audio stuff is very vanilla...while the Line6 will give you lots of flavors...the UX8 does have some stuff inside that the UX2 doesnt...but sonically they are pretty much the same...Ive had both.

We kinda have 2 classes of homereccers arround here...some are just hobbists that normally use the m-audio stuff and there is nothing wrong with that...but there are also the more professional ones that are paying for Neve and API...come over to the big pond...the water is nice here.
