M-Audio DMP3 Preamp gen 1 (silver) vs 2 (black) Comments?

Hi all,

I was wondering if there is a any difference at all between the old DMP3 (silver) vs the new DMP3 (black) preamp other than the looks. Thanks, any help is much appreciated!

I own 2 DMP2s and they are silver. They don't have the meter. Just leds.

But I was led to believe they are the same preamp circuit. Since I don't have any DMP3s of either color I can't do a comparison. But the DMP2s are good all right.

Hmm I've been looking on the M-Audio website and have noticed that the specs differ a little :-

Maximum Input +10dBv (mkI) - + 14.6 dBu (mkII)

Maximum Output 22dB (mkI) - +27.5dBu (mkII)

Signal To Noise 115dB (mkI) - 120dB (mkII)

THD+N 0.02% (mkI) - 0.00035% (mkII)
