M-308 and M-312

Can a M-308 and an M-312 be cascaded together. And what exactly does that mean? Do they still act as seperate mixers, or does one set of master faders work for both? And what about aux and sends?

Yes.

You can expand the number of channels by connecting these two mixers together, (cascading). Basically, the outputs of one mixer are patched to the inputs of the other mixer, thus making a common circuit for Buss, Aux, etc., with one mixer acting as "master". It's not too complicated.
