I'm looking for some feedback on this new combo amp from Behringer. I know, I've said the "B" word, but it looks like a lot of bang for the buck. I am looking for a small amp to record with.

I know it won't be available till Mid October and that I love my V-AMP2 so much that I'm going to buy one!

Changed my mind on the purchase of the V-AMPIRE. I bought a lil Behringer Vintager GM110 Analog Modeling amp and love it. Still love the V-AMP2. I have a used Peavey Bravo 112 coming for Christmas. So, no V-AMPIRE this time around.

They sho are Bro. The MM1 Axis is on Lead on just about everything that you have heard of mine. They Rawk, Bro! The MM4 Silhouette Special is my Texas Blues Axe. I have another Axis as well.

I have read some really good reviews on them. I was shocked seeing how inexpensive they are. How many do you own and would you recommend them??

Mike;

I own the three of them. Two Axis and one Silhouette Special. I recommend the MM1 Axis very highly, man! I bought my Amber Quilt the first year they came out and it's been my Numba 1 Hot Rod Geetar ever since. It has served me well for two years now.

Since you already have a Strat, I wouldn't bother with the Silhouette because Fat Strat is what the thang does. I run an 011-049 set of strings on my MM4 and it's tuned down half a step. Like I said above, it's my Texas Blues Geetar.

The only thing you would prolly change on the Axis is the Volume Control. There's enough room in the Control Cavity for a Tone Control if someone would like that. I like mine the way it is.

The HBuckers on the Axis are a very good copy of the original EVH Axis DiMarzios and they are hot! Be warned! ;)

Get one and either have a Pro Tech relieve the nut and set it up, or do it yourself.

Sorry for my repetitive theme here of late, but I gotta ask---

Would an OLP be recommendable for metal? I've never heard of them before... Where are they available?

There seem to be alot of cliches that metal guitar players repeat, I followed one when I bought my Ibanez, and I don't like playing it, I just can't get used the feel of the bridge...

They have a dealer locator on their Website:

http://www.olpguitars.com/usa/products_us.htm

Also, you can get them from Musicians Friend, Guitar Center, AMS, etc. They generally run about 200 Bux and yes, they are great for Metal. They fit great in a Fender style hardcase too.

Baritone

What's the deal with the MMS Baritone? They don't have a lot of details on their website... Is it specifically designed for downtuning/larger gauge strings?

A baritone guitar has a longer scale and you generally use heavier strings and tune to B. BEADF#B I believe...
