How do you use Cool 1.2 to do low roll-offs?

I'm concerned about lowering the bottom end on things like acoustic guitar, bass, kick, etc.

It would be easy enough using the graphic equalizer, but I want to know how to do it with the parametric, cuz that's the one I use all the time.

The parametric equalizer has a low shelf that you can work with.

Hey dobro, use the FFT Filter. Its designed for exactly this. Its envelope only goes up to 100% so its cutting only. But you pick the points on the line. You can do a precise cut from say, 46.5Hz down.

Scott.

White Ice - hi, thanks. Yeah, I've noticed that low shelf cutoff setting of course, but how does it work? If I set it at 40 Hz for example, and start cutting dBs, does it affect anything above 40 Hz? The graph seems to indicate that it does. But what I want is to be able to keep all the frequencies above 40 Hz for example untouched, and just roll off everything below that.

Scott - damn, that FFT filter looks useful. Thanks!

I'm not sure about it dobro, I haven't really used that part of ParametricEQ much but it should say something in the manual/help file or you can ask on Syntrillium (i've seen you post there).
