I won't claim to be the world's best teacher, but I will say that the teaching/learning process is a two-person tango, and there is just as much onus on the student as there is the teacher. And, BTW, I provide plenty of encouragement to plenty of folks. But I *never* encourage bad habits, which is what a lot of people want me to do.

Again, I am not absolving my self of all responsibility, but the sad fact is there's a whole lot of people here that want to hear what they want to hear and aren't really interested in hearing anything that conflicts with their initial beliefs. When they meet someone like me who's not interested in coddling false beliefs or bad habits and would rather nip the bullshit in the bud, they get pissed. That's their issue, not mine. I'm not trying to piss anyone off, they choose to react that way.

You don't have to believe me; I invite you to go through the history of your average member here who has a problem with my being a "pompous ass" and actually analyze their overall M.O.

Anyone who writes anything about anything that they've read or seen without knowing eight pages of discussion on the subject, with less than five years of experience, or a home studio that costs less than $10k...is some lazy arsed punk looking for shortcuts because they're too fucking retarded to understand how hard it is to understand the basic concepts of music..

Yeah, I'm fine with that. WTF do I care what nameless faceless entities on the internet think of me? But I do try to help people when I can, so I guess I'm kind of somewhere between Bozo and Chucky.
