So here's an original I wrote over the last week! Would really appreciate comments and feedback! :D

Vox and guitars recorded through an Apogee One. All other instruments are software instruments in Logic.

Nice clean sounding mix, a questionable vocal note at 1.47 and a couple of borderline ones after that. The vocal is marred a little by the processes used to make it sit in the mix, maybe the compression and gating has enveloped it in that way, I'd like to hear the transients a little free-er in this type of material vocal wise to make it a little more intimate with your listener. It becomes a little busy post guitar solo onward until it thins out again but a little thoughtful panning of elements to reduce the competition for space would potentially make it a little more concise.

Regards

Tim

The reverb touches on the vocal are a little too heavy.
The crashing chords aren't too flash. Are they sims based or a mic'd amp?
Phrasemaker is spot on.

Thanx for sharing! You have a nice vocal sound.
Not my kind of music, but good luck with your project!

Oh alright, thank you for the advice! And I guess I'll play around with the compression and gating then, maybe the de-esser?

Ok I hear where you're coming from, and excuse my misunderstanding, but what do you mean they aren't too flash? And they are sims based. But thank you for your thoughts and help :D

Not too flash is vernacular Australian for not terribly good or exciting.

sing with your diaphragm! when you get to the higher notes its VERY thin... also... do i hear autotune or melodyne?
