Hello!
I recently acquired a Studiomaster 8 into 4 mixer that I plan on using alongside my Tascam 388 and likely other Fostex cassette multitrackers too. I am wondering if there is anyone who has knowledge about the Studiomaster mixer: thinking naturally about the EQ/pres and noise of the circuit; considering the comparative strengths of each the 388 and 8-4 during recording (pre's/output) and for post-production (mixing)
I have yet to use the Studiomaster for post-production mixing; actually, I failed in trying to do this: using the Tape Out function on my Fostex XR7 to test the Studiomaster I didn't get any signal to the monitor or pres (I think this is a failure of the connections at the XR7s tape outs).
Thank you! I look forward to hearing about other's experience with this fine mixer as I have thus far found it to be a true gem, during recording, in build quality and EQ (very fine, strengthy)
