Lots of recording questions.

My specs: A64 3200+, 2GB ram, Audiophile 24/96, N-Track, EuroRack MX 602a, MXL 1006.


1. Best mic-preamp for $250 and under? (for rapping, voice only)

2. Best mic under $250? (C1, Rode NT1, At3035,etc) -For rapping, voice only.

3. Monitors under $400? (Dp 8.2a, rp5, bx8(not a), yamaha, truth's) -for rapping. LOL right now I have Logetich 340.

Guys please respond. I spents days and days researching, reading home rec studio forums and reviews, magazines etc. I just keep getting the runaround and circles.

Come on guys. You guys are pros at home studio setups. I just hate buying stuff and hauling it back and waiting days till my cc is credited back. I was wondering if you guys can help me out so i can avoid all the hassle.

Can you guys atleast tell me the best pre-amp under $199.

Please Im trying to get better sound than my Ber 602a pre-amp.

I don't do rap, but

I don't own these but I've read in the forums that some guys use these.
Studio Projects VTB-1 for around $130.00 or a M-Audio DMP3 2 channel for around $160.00

there are tons of opinions...what is "best" is what you like the best. try some gear out, then make an informed decision...these "best" mic and pre questions kill me....look in the first two threads here....it has been covered thousands of times.
