Quite possibly! But they ARE very cheap and remarkably well made. They can be used with the supplied cable directly into a laptop mic jack and my results at least show decent results (will do another test later, getting Jab 2 soon) and of course can also be used into an AI with a standard XLR cable. Thus they are perhaps more versatile than a cheap USB mic?

Their biggest downfall is very poor QC as I have seen many reports from peeps that get noisy ones or low or no output. But! 'yer pays yer money....!
