I'm new to hard disk recording, and am using a friends HD24, and Masterlink. I find them very user friendly, but have had a problem. I recorded a show last night, and at the end of the show, the guitar player turned the power off, before I stoped the recording. It shows the data gone. Is there anyway to retrive it? It seems to be a problem with hard disk recording, and from now on I will remember to use a battery backup. In the masterlink, there is an audiofile, that seems to be a backup, is there such a thing in the HD24? Any advice would be appriciated. I think Alesis should address this problem. On earlier recorders that use tape, whether it be VHS, Reel, to Reel, or whatever this was never a problem. The technology is getting better all the time, but this could have been a disaster for me, and might might make me think twice about buying an HD24 for myself. Thank you, David
