My fiance's strat knockoff has this problem with the input jack where it comes loose after a while. Then I have to unscrew the plate and push the connector back out and screw the bolt thing back on. The cable doesn't come in and out of this thing much, it just happens after some use. Is there is an easy way to fix this?

If I'm understanding your explanation correctly then 1 or 2 lock washers should solve the problem.

I would add a couple of drops of loctite 601( I think thats the one that locks nuts or studs) as well. That will lock the thread in place but you can break it if needed by applying some heat with a soldering iron.
My pick ups kept undoing and dropping off down into the cavity so I did that and fixed the problem.

If it is a cheap plastic body jack, a good new Switchcraft metal body jack with a lock washer on the inside and cranked down tight is going to hold up the best. Just don't crank it too tight, or you can damage the threads on the jack.

Those plastic jacks suck.

that's a pretty common strat type jack problem. just tighten the crap out of it with a socket wrench and as sugguested maybe add a lock washer.

Lock washer is a good idea. The loc tite probably isn't a bad idea either.....I never thought of it before. Lock washers always work. The trick with them is to get them tight enough to "lock", but no so tight as to strip threads or break something.

I have some lock tight stuff lying around when I tried it on some lugs which kept popping off (cheap drums). I basically just retightened it as hard as I could (without killing it) and it should be okay.

The jack is metal, don't think I've ever seen a plastic one, lol. It basically has a screw bolt (I don't know what to call them) on the inside, then the next piece is the jack itself, then a washer, then another screw bolt thing. If another washer would help somewhere, I'll try it, but I'll see what the jack does now.

Another vote for Loctite....

just a drop is all ya need...........
