The computer can't tell you the emotional story. It can give you the exact mathematical design, but what's missing is the eyebrows.

Closest I've seen here to what anyone could call <my> genre. I've only found one other artist on mp3.com that has that "flavor" to their compositions.

My stuff is as different from Dan's as it is from yours but compared to the mainstream of musical thought on mp3.com we seem to congregate in the same place.
I don't get the connection between Jury Duty and the very interesting piece that got that name??? And it seems way to busy to be labeled minimal. But I like it!
Nice mood swing in "Child Play" as described in the blurb.

Connection? There has to be a connection? Oh shit!

Just kidding of course. Thanks for the comments. The name Jury Duty came from when I was mixing and mastering the track. I heard it so many times that I told a friend that it was like pulling Jury Duty at 4.00 an hour, hence the name. I guess no real relation to the song though. I'll stream some of your stuff while I work today. I love nonmainstream diversity. :)

Diverse is an understatement. :)

I checked out a few of you tracks. I'll listen more after my morning meetings. Septagon-y is great! I agree its nice to find others who arnt genre specific. I have one I think you will like, Cogitation of Perceptual Cirosis. Definitly off the left cerebral cortex. :D

Yes, I really liked that Cogitation of Perceptual Cirosis, and of course D/Led all the other long ones as well. Septagon-y was from Dan's immense collection of tunes at mp3.com. I still haven't made the leap to mp3.com: just using my own server to host a few of my tunes.

Now I feel more like I did when I came in than I do right now

Sorry, I misread your post. Had me real confused there for a second. I'll hit the songs on your page now that I'm on the right track. :)

Oh shit!

I must have failed the Slackmaster2k test. I still have my Telefunkin U-47 though.

I have a message to deliver to the cute people of the world...if you're cute, or maybe you're beautiful...there's MORE OF US UGLY MOTHERFUCKERS OUT THERE THAN YOU ARE!! So watch out.

And one person commented. You guys must really hate my stuff. I know some think its too nonmainstream but hell guys/gals, I only sacrifice roaches in front of a picture of Frank Zappa now and then.

No no...I listened too..downloaded "cow tango" last nite and liked it, particularly the tympany sounds...spent most of the time at yer site, though.....you see, not only do I have cats, I have moo cows too....liked yer site a lot, but it's not the smoothest to navigate....you also have over one million songs it seems, so I'll be listening to more...I liked the way "tango" was mixed.......gibs

oh shit I'm confused..I didn't listen to your music at all, I listened to dan the kitty man because that's the url I clicked...disregard the man behind the curtain......I'll get back to ya......gibs

Sorry for any diversionary cornfusion

Gibs! Cow Tango is from Dan Fioretti, the guy I said Sintz sounded like....
Dan does have a sort of cow/cat thing going on...
I wrote him that I liked his music, and played it at work but it annoyed my co-workers. He responded that he ought to write some music to annoy cow-orkers.

http://mp3.com/SINTZ is where Sintz's music is at....

Ok. testing...Is this the person to whom I am speaking?.....downloaded "Hall of Souls" because it was shorter and I needed to listen quick to purge my idiocy....liked it, liked it a lot...particularly the vox humana sound...as I am re-reading this, I see drstawl and I are just missing each each other's posts......I must think seriously about going to bed now....gibs

Thanks

Gibs, thanks for listening. Hall of Souls was recorded live on er, eh, substandard equipment? Yea, thats the easy way to put it. :) Although it has many fans, I desperately need to remix and master it. Now, go get cable modem. :D

Monty, has something to do with cats and cows, er pigs on the wing, no, eh Purple Haze, no thats not it, maybe Montana and dental floss with zircon encrusted tweezers, yea, thats it!

Crazee people music, that's what it is! A cross between Zappa and drstawl. Very good mixes (the one's I heard).

Hi. I listened to the Carmina Burana cover. Very nicely done. As for darkness, I don't think it's possible to get darker than the original - there's something about the jauntiness of the lyrics combined with massed human voices rising to fever pitch plus the context of where and when it was written that really gives me the creeps. It's like that organ piece by Bach - maybe it's called Toccata and Fugue in Something Minor. It starts off, and it's like somebody in a funereal voice says, "And now, welcome to the abyss...".

Perspective is everything.

pglewis, thanks for listening. No mainstream here. :D

dobro, I couldn't agree more. Theres something about a full chour building to a monumental peak with Latin lyrics. The song is about dispair but sure comes across much darker in the original.
