Looking to upgrade

I have a Tascam 414, and I've been using it for a few years. It's served me well, but recording to casette is getting old (I don't even own a casette player outside my studio), and I'd like to upgrade to a digital machine. I don't have much to spend, though. Any suggestions? I mostly record acoustic guitar with vocals (if it matters), and I think that 4 tracks is still enough for now...
 
I'd like to keep it under $500, if possible. Ideally well under $500.
 
It'll be close.

If you had another $300-$500 your possibilities would really expand. Especially if you wanted to stay with analog.
