I started working with a new artist and I am impressed with his professionalism. I worked on my first song with him today and I would like to hear what people think of song. I tried a new technique in the mixdown with this song.
Sounds cool so far , but there a some problems in the Mix
The harsh highend is itching my brain and made me whaaahohaoha.
I´d cut down a bit the high highs at 10000-14000 they are too harsh for "my"
ears
The Kick gets burried under the pretty nice Bass, also the Snare could be louder. The voice is nice and fits good into the mix but the Mix is too bright (for me) and way too much compression/limiting on it. It has nearly no dynamics and for that reason the song is fatigueing the listeners ears pretty fast.
All in all a cool song, even if I´m not so much into Rap.
