I recorded the first tune(New song) on a handheld tascam recorder in my living room. Mixed it in audition. Please give me some feedback on vocals and mix.. I know it isn't perfect but what is!

That's my kind of music, very well arranged, good playing, your voice is great. I think the song is quite good.
As far as the recording goes, it seems the guitar and vocals are "right on top" of each other. The guitar should be moved outwards a bit (L/R) so your vocals have some room. that said, the hardest part is finished - a good song and a great performance.

Vocally I thought it was alright. Be careful with your pronunciation, intonation so that you don't come across as whiney and too nasally. But for the most part, I thought the vocals were fine. As for the mix, it was ok for most of it, but, seems like the guitar parts went down in a few sections. Im not sure if thats because you turned the guitar away from a mic, or played it differently or mixed it differently. As for the ending of the song, I thought it just kind of abruptly stopped a bit short. I think you were trying to fade it out, which is fine, but perhaps a bit more time of playing the guitar, then softly bring down the slider to fade it out gradually. But overall, not bad.

I appreciate the honesty. I only have one track and all performances are live. Do you have any advice on 1 track recording? Thanks for the tips though!

Thanks Mickey or is that Minnie or maybe it's just a mouse! AHHH

Get some serious recording equipment and record a CD - you have the talent. Or go to a studio.

I appreciate the support ido... I need some serious money before I can buy some serious equipment. Just today I received commision at my work so hopefully that brings in the money! Thanks again buddy.

I can't find the song using my iPhone. I will try on my pc later

Hey Diz- have you had a chance to listen yet? Let me know!
