Looking for cheAp bass peddle/processor

I've been doing some home recording lately and have found plugging my bass straight into the pre-amp and into the recorder doesn't give it enough smoothness or chance to screw with the sounds. I've got a few effects I can mess with on my recorder, but it's only a couple and they kinda suck. What I'm looking for is something fairly cheap to plug into before I get into the recorder to get closer to the sound I'm looking for. I DON'T NEED A BUNCH OF BELLS AND WHISTLES. All I want is a nice clean, smooth sound with possibly some EQ settings.

Any advice would be great!

its got the two pedals, and the "expression pedal"


got pretty much all you could want built in...its fun to play around with, sounds alright, got an eq in it and all the fuzzy you could want...


cant think of what its called though....its blue.....

You could get a DI box

Or just a Bass EQ pedal...

Or a ring modulator for a nice, clean sound LOL
