Looking for Best Stereo Pair

I am looking for the best stereo pair of mics for overhead percussion. I am willing to spend about $2000. I am considering 2 X AKG C 414 B-XLS. What are your opinions?

Couple of AT4041's would be nice, but what other uses would the mics be there for? Just percussion?

I've got a pair of Avenson STO-2 mics I'm eval'ing. They're somewhat neutral and musical. I think they're a little flattering to the room and source. If you want bright or lots of high end extension then look elsewhere. YMMV.

Oh yeah, tambourines. The mic must be good for tambourines also!
