Looking for a versatile amp.

Hey guys I just inherited a never been used 4-12 ampeg cabinet. I am looking for a Head for it. Something I can really drive and something that has a good blues tube tone also. Any suggestions. It will be used for mostly live purposes.

The Flextone II has tons of tones & presets. IMHO it is as versatile as it gets

Dont know if I would buy a Flextone to be quite honest with you. I guess its cool, its more or less a POD with a poweramp connected to it. I use a pod here and they and they are cool and all, its just I really only use my Marshall DSL401. Point, Cant beat real tubes. I dont know if this would work or how it would sound. But maybe get a Pod and use it as a preamp, and run it into a Tube Poweramp. If you have some cash, I would sell your cab and get a Fender Cyber-Twin. Those things are freaking awesome. Think of them like this. Take a Pod and put real tubes in the preamp. So instead of running the amp "emulation" through soundboards that emulate tubes (like the pod does). You have the sounds using REAL tubes. AWESOME
