Unfortunately SOUNDCLICK is only allowing access to your joints via LO-FI.
Anyhow,"slomotion" has a early '80's feel to it yet. This joint needs a bit more freedom on both the synth bass (repetitive use of whole notes) and melodic string samples which appeared too regimented as though your primary concern was to insure that the track adhered to the tempo of the beat. Add a db or 2 of gain on the kick and the melody. Around 00:56 of the song, rather than adding a bridge, you perfm a 3-note scale climb with both the bass and string patch landing on the same notes and beat which makes this a bit stagnant. Try throwin' in a syncopated counter-rhythm between the 2 tracks along with a lil harmonizin' by making the bass the root of the chord and the string the 5th.
"slomotion" can be livened up by slappin' in some variations to the tempo and you loosening up and free-flow the perf w/o worrying whether you're in beat!
(This song kinda' reminds me of Beverly Hills Copn w. Eddie Murphy! :))

"AngelwithWings" has potential!!!! I have a prob with the keyboards melody patch sounding too much like a Casio, but home-boy, I can do a WHOLE lot with this!! I'm feelin' the intro and the beat is appropriate you just need to try and defeat that artificial tone your keys are kickin'out (adding a 2/3 db boost in mids and rolling off freq'ys 70hz+) and maybe injecting some 'Verb (mind you, these are just my opinions! Take it FWIW). Brutha', this is a nice joint just needing you to rip the sh#t ouf this by raising the level of your perf
and adjusting the quality of your keys perfm'nce.

"POP". Sorry, I'm not feelin' this at all!! Your drum-programming is basic, the synth sample is not original, there's no bridge,no change,no melodic or harmonic content and noting to sustain the listeners attention. With a tempo of 4/4, all this jammie does is constantly repeat what's heard in the 1st bar. Yo' son, don't be afraid to variate and explore diff avenues of expression regardless of your talent level. Just free yourself from the "BOX".

Peace

BTW, in the future, kindly post your joints in the MP3 forum as that is the proper place to post your songs!

I listened to a few, they're pretty good for your first beats. "Hotness" is pretty nice, that sample is always hot when it's flipped. I'd say you're on way, just keep practicing and don't be afraid to branch out and create new styles.

I'll be checking out your stuff in the future so keep droppin'.
