Logic users- What do you think of built-in fx?

Maybe I just suck, and it's quite probable, but I can rarely get a good sounding reverb. I have windows Platinum. The few presets they provide never work well for me. I once had a Roland VS-880 and could almost always find something I liked.

Any tips, comments, anecdotes welcome.
 
Well i have only used the more limited versions of Logic but I would give perhaps more general advice that large reverbs can sound great in certain contexts but you will often find that more subtle reverbs can have a profound, if not as blatantly aparent, effect on a tune. Try setting the reverbs manually to subtle settings. i must say though that I didn't think the presets were very good either but lots of people swear by Logic Reverb fx.
